About Me

I am Md Sajidul Mowla, a Computer Science graduate from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Bangladesh. I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan. My undergraduate thesis focused on Multimodal Emotion Classification of the Bengali Language.

My primary research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Audio Processing, with an emphasis on developing intelligent and autonomous systems. I am particularly interested in applying deep learning and multimodal techniques to low-resource languages and real-world applications.

I have been actively involved in academic research through the CUET ML Research Group, where I worked under the supervision of Hasan Murad. I am also associated with the Deep HCI Lab as an apprentice researcher under AKM Bahalul Haque, contributing to research-oriented development and experimentation.

My research work has been published in peer-reviewed venues, including the First Workshop on Bangla Language Processing (BLP 2023), co-located with EMNLP. These works explore transformer-based models for violence-inciting text detection and sentiment analysis of Bangla social media content. In addition, I am currently preparing a journal manuscript on an advanced Generative AI–driven e-learning framework integrating multimodal models for automated video generation.

Alongside research, I have practical experience in software development and data-driven system design. I previously worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Spectrum Engineering Consortium Ltd., where I contributed to frontend development using React.js, backend development with Node.js, and collaborative system design. I have also served as a Tech Solution Architect at Green Lead, a nonprofit organization, leading the development of digital platforms and tools for organizational campaigns.

My long-term academic goal is to pursue graduate studies (MS/PhD) in a research-intensive environment, where I aim to contribute to impactful research in AI, NLP, and multimodal learning, particularly for underrepresented languages and domains.
